Full Function Engineering EMAP (Exhaust Manifold Pressure) Canister


We highly recommend this canister when monitoring back-pressure to prevent damage to the Adaptronic ECU on-board EMAP sensor. This canister would be installed after 3' of stainless hard-line. This line can be coiled in order to save space. Then the vacuum line from the ECU will be connected to the other side of the canister. 

Running an Exhaust Manifold Pressure Sensor or EMAP sensor gives a unique insight into the dynamics of a running engine, especially one that is turbocharged.

By monitoring EMAP we can determine the following:

  • – Backpressure before the turbine to help size the turbo
  • – Efficiency of the motor (MAP/EMAP)
  • – If tuned for MAP/EMAP based efficiency the turbocharger can be changed without requiring a retune.
